Step by Step

A few rustic steps on a path gently disappearing up into an autumn forest. Discovery is ahead.

Long term processes aren’t easy to take on.
They’re daunting, especially as we get older.
Even if they’re in our own best interest.

For example, when we think about
committing to take care of ourselves
because our quality of life is ebbing, we hesitate.
It’s daunting!

So take it one step at a time.

From what I’ve seen, quality of life improves most naturally
by developing the habit of discovery.
So start by simply considering that possibility.

Becoming aware of what’s going on and how we respond
establishes a basis for change.
And it’s something we all have the capacity for.
It’s a very valuable habit to learn.

The process of learning this habit
isn’t as long or arduous as you might think.
Plus your quality of life can improve while you develop it.

Don’t worry about the next step until
after you get a handle on noticing and discovering.
What you think the next step will be
may change by the time you get there.

One of the many beauties of learning to observe and discover
is that they are transferable skills. You can apply them
anywhere you like, however you like, whenever you like.

Plus quantum science has proven
it only takes the act of observation for something to change.
And you can prove that for yourself!

So my thought for a first step is to think about learning to notice, to observe, to pay attention. See if there’s a method that fits you.
It might take as little as an hour a week.

Then make it uniquely yours.

And go from there.
